Jersey City felon charged after trying to toss loaded gun: cops

JERSEY CITY -- Police have arrested a man on multiple weapons
charges after a short foot pursuit early yesterday morning.

Rajon Leveit, 29, of Grant Avenue in Jersey City,
was arrested after 5 a.m. yesterday near Bostwick Avenue and Martin Luther King
Drive. Police first spotted Leveit approaching a small group while hunched over
with his hand inside his jacket pocket, reports said.

When Leveit saw the marked police car, he started to walk
away from cops at a brisk pace, turned down Bostwick Avenue and ducked behind
another car, reports state. As police approached Leveit, he took off his face
mask and told officers, "You know me, I ain't do nothing," reports state.
