Brokerage contract sparks accusations of cronyism in Jersey City mayoral race

A lucrative contract a Verona insurance agency won with the Jersey City school board in April continues to raise eyebrows among local activists and supporters of Mayor Jerramiah Healy, thanks to the agency's ties to mayoral candidate Steve Fulop.

Fulop, also the Ward E rep on the City Council, is personal friends with Fairview Insurance Agency Associates director Ryan Graham.
