Nail salon owners brutally attacked, robbed of $2,700 on Christmas Eve: cops

husband and wife spent Christmas morning in a hospital after they were brutally attacked and robbed while closing their shop on Christmas Eve.

Chau Tran, 53, and his wife, 47, were closing up their Bergen Avenue nail salon at 9:30 Monday night when two men attacked them.

One the men, who were described as being between 40 and 50 years old, punched Tran in the face, knocking him to the ground, police said. The other man attacked Tran's wife with a 10-inch knife, slashing her arm three times and her leg once, police said.
