Laryssa Wirstiuk is a local writer who covers food for JCI and NEW Magazine. You can check out her latest story about JC summer treats (Torico, Lizzmonade, Fiesta Grill) in NEW, or you can read it online.
She's been working on a collection of short stories, The Prescribed Burn, for the past five years, and she's now ready to publish it. Some of the stories are even set in JC! (The Prescribed Burn website) You can read an article about Laryssa in Sunday's issue of The JC Reporter. Here's the link. If you're interested in supporting a local author, please visit Laryssa's Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1 ... lection-of-15-short-stori Pledging just $25 will get you a signed paperback copy of her book, a free e-book download, a personalized "thank you" card in the mail, a cool bookmark, and your name on her website's "thank you" page. If Laryssa reaches 75% of her goal by this Friday, she'll let ALL backers, regardless of pledge amount, help her write an as-yet-unwritten story that she'll include in her book. Everyone will get credit for their contributions. Thank you for your time and attention! If you have any ideas about ways that she can promote her work throughout Jersey City, please send Laryssa an e-mail: laryssa@theprescribedburn.com
