This law is for multi-families (5 or more) landlords must appeal before rent-leveling boards for hardship. The law was amended Oct. 25, 1985. New construction is exempt.

I was in a conversation with someone today, and he said he don't believe Jersey City has a pass on law, which allows a landlord to pass on a tax increase to the tenants.

Can anyone comment on this.
