Update at 2:40pm.
Concerning the earlier Police Activity, PATH Train service is resuming on a 20 minute schedule from Newark to World Trade Center. Passengers traveling to 33rd Street, from or to JSQ from 33rd Street, must transfer at Grove St.

According to the Jersey Journal, a man jumped from the Summit Avenue bridge just outside the station and died...

Due to Police Activity at Journal Square, Train service between 33rd St and Journal Square, and WTC and Newark is terminating at Grove St. Passengers traveling to JSQ are advised to use local busses at Grove ST. Passengers traveling to Newark are advised to use New Jersey Transit at Penn Station New York.
