If you are ever near Walter's Liquor store at 8th. and Jersey he is an older life-long resident and business owner. He used to have a bunch of old photos and postcards from the turn of the century. He may even have some recollections from his own family members about your great grandfather and his business'.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone remember stories from their grandparents about a German man owning a shoemaking shop at 359 Palisade Ave around the year 1900?
How aboout a saloon at 157 Oakland Ave, 197 New York Ave, 7 Griffith Street, 138 Sherman Ave? These businesses were owned by my great grandfather, John Stroebele. Thanks Dave
