The ladies of GSR are mixing it up as Pirates vs. Ninjas, with a special half-time scrimmage by the men of the New York Shock Exchange (www.nyshockexchange.com). All proceeds will go to local charities. Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $12 at the door (kids 10 and under are half price.). Doors will open at 8pm, and the first whistle blows at 9pm. A shuttle is available to the event for $10 round trip - it will depart from the pre-party at Hard Grove Caf? (www.hardgrovecafe.com - across from the Grove St. PATH station in Jersey City) at 7:30 PM, and after the bout will make a stop at the afterparty at Hell's Kitchen Lounge (www.hellskitchenlounge.com) in Newark (150 Lafayette St.) before continuing on to the PATH Station. Bout and Shuttle Tickets can be purchased online at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/40120 Tickets can also be purchased in-person from Hard Grove Cafe and Jersey Wine and Spirits (both in Downtown Jersey City). Shuttle tickets can be purchased when boarding, but seating is limited! Benefiting charities include: Newark Public Library <http://www.npl.org/> is the state's largest public library with a collection of over 1 million titles and 10 community branches. Willow Tree <http://www.willowtree.org/> is an NJ Based organization whose mission is to help young teens to educate them on living a safe alcohol, tobacco, and drug free lifestyle. Real House Women's Shelter is for women recovering from substance abuse and escaping domestic violence. They serve all of Essex county, and are based in Montclair. NY Police Athletic League <http://www.palnyc.org/> provides inner-city children and teenagers with educational, recreational and employment programs after-school and during the summer months. Habitat for Humanity <http://www.habitat.org/> invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. American Cancer Society <http://www.cancer.org/> is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
