Personal loans where people might pay me back a few months later. Loans are no more than a couple thousand.

Clients could be anyone. I just gather some info about them and then if they are trusty, i issue the loan.

I believe that NJ's Licensed Lender Act may cover your situation but, without pulling it up, I believe that it only requires licensing after a certain amount of loans are given in NJ. You may have to look at the laws of the states where you are giving loans as well to make sure that they don't have a statute which would require you to be licensed in the other state as well.

I was wondering if there are any private lending laws in NJ. Here is the situation.

I have given out a few loans (to people in other states). I was wondering if the state has any regulations about how many loans I can give out without getting certified or if any certification at all is required.
