Government watchdog seeks public's help

The Associated Press
February 21, 2008

New Jerseyans can now report government waste to the state's new government watchdog.

Comptroller Matthew Boxer on Thursday unveiled a new confidential toll-free hot line to report waste and mismanagement.

The hot line can be reached at 1-866-547-1121.

Boxer said all calls will be reviewed by an office investigator.

The comptroller's office was recently created to help eliminate corruption and wasteful spending.
