The city should tell the public before this $72 million infuse of money what ticket prices will cost. Yes, the Loews need money, but I still remember the city telling the county not to give the Loews money to fix major problems in the Loews. The Loews lost $10 milion to correct major problems.

Good to see that the City is reaching out for proposals that will expand what can be done at the theater AND involving FOTL.

Not necessarily.

FOL will continue to be the non-profi arm of Loew's operation. There's a lot this means specifically, and a lot that Mayor Fulop and the RFP which is the basis for DAE's proposal guarantees FOL to ensure this is so.

But fundamentally, FOL's mission is to make sure that EVERYONE can enjoy and benefit from the Loew's. And that means we will make sure there's affordable programming. We'll have more than fifty days a year to do just that.

Mayor Steven Fulop has announced a $72 million renovation of the Loew?s Jersey Theater in partnership with Devils Arena Entertainment, the operator of Prudential Center. The announcement signifies the realization of a seven year effort by the mayor to bring in a well-heeled professional management company that can book national acts and compete with the likes of the Beacon Theater in Manhattan.
