It started out with only 1 person many years ago which was Larry Adam's on 440 by Communipaw Ave & now everyday there's another 2 or 3 different people in and out of traffic. They are really causing traffic to backup cause people want to give them money & talk and at the same time not run them over.

If only the PATH police would do this to people who succumb to Teddy's scam.

I recall because of an ACLU law suit it is legal to beg in the streets, but you can?t impede traffic. (lucky us)

The beggar problem is out of control in JC. The section of Rt 440 from Danforth to Communipaw should be renamed Beggar?s Blvd. Young guy with a sign on Danforth and rt 440..err I mean Beggar?s Blvd. (he is probably the pig who leaves bottles of urine in the Chinese Buffet parking lot) Old guy could hardly stand up on Beggars Blvd. near National Discount Warehouse. The "occasional" beggar at Beggar?s Blvd and Kellogg. Praying beggar at Beggar?s Blvd and Culver. Two beggars at the Beggar?s Blvd. Hudson Mall inbound jug handle. (with the Cheerleaders/Dance Troupe to cheer them on) Sometimes the beggar in the wheelchair makes an appearance and blocks one whole lane of traffic. Female beggar while coming out of the Hudson Mall by Pizza Hut. Beggar at long traffic light at Beggar Blvd and Communipaw...aka Larry's spot. (or that aggressive guy in the orange vest with clip board in hand ?collecting money for the homeless? I wonder if they really get it?) In the opposite direction the beggar who used to have a small dog with him.

Oh and lets not forget the private property beggars who I can?t believe store owners allow to beg. Danforth Avenue/Westside strip mall beggar in front of the mini mart. Multiple beggars at the Exxon gas station at Danforth and JFK Blvd. The door holding beggar at the Dunkin Donuts next to the rt 440 Lowes. The ?inhouse? beggars at the Bayonne/JC City Line McDonalds who hit you up while you are on line inside or outside on the drive thru.

I will leave out the ?water bearers? at least they are doing a service selling bottles of water for a dollar on hot days. Rt 440 and Communipaw and noticed a new one at Tonnelle and JFK Blvd.

This is old but interesting?.

But Mayor Fulop said the liquor store was the problem.
