ha! good point, but the light rail is extremely noisey and seems like it can be controlled in some way.

You're smart, our agent also represented the seller and it was a nightmare transaction...you'd think they'd be stoked to simply get the sale with vacant units.

Thanks all. We decided not to go forward. The lady at the sales office was quite a piece of work. I had my own buyers agent, which is probably why she was very cold and unwilling to work with us so as not to split the commission. Not a good experience and will avoid working with KW/ Sutherlin group from now on. Will also warn everyone I know of them too.

I live on the 7th floor and have a view of the station albeit set back a bit. Noise isn't a factor when the windows are closed. In the warmer months when we sleep with the windows open, even then noise is pretty manageable. We moved here a few years ago from midtown Manhattan, which was noisy and polluted. No complaints on our end at GC.

I've visited a unit on that side, and you can certainly hear the light rail. That said, my kids grew up in a much louder environment and did just fine. And, because I can't resist:

YOU LIVE IN A CITY. THERE'S NOISE.

Funny, no one answered OP's question. There's another post few lines down about the noise level on 18 Park coming from the same light rail station. Gulls Cove is a condo so may be better soundproofing, eh?

Just to pile up, use White Noise app on ios/android.

We live in an old incredibly loud row house with creaky floors and front door of building slamming, enable Alexa white noise skill, my fave is thunderstorm. Tell her to loop, she'll stay on all night, staying asleep is gold!

Didn't know she had white noise. How does it compare to the classic white noise machine? I also keep one on all night and it seems to help. Takes a few days to get used to it.

Anyone live by the light rail side of Gulls Cove? Do you hear the horns and announcements of the train constantly? We have an infant so want to be sure you can't hear the noise before we make a decision to live here.

I don't live there, but i don't think your infant is going to be bothered. better to expose him/her to an environment that is not whisper quiet all the time so that he/she is not overly sensitive to noise and needs to sleep in a vacuum of silence. Also, just use white noise machine for the infants. my 2 cents based on having an infant not too long ago and living in a fairly noisy area, and seeing how difficult it is for other kids to sleep in noisy environments who were reared in "whisper" quiet sleeping conditions.
i'm no expert.
