I'm voting for the other guy simply because Coleman is greedy and only sees dollar signs with this job. So why should we vote her into it? She's been an apathetic Councilperson at best, and at worst - she has complained about every aspect of that job, from the time it takes to the "low" pay.

Let's not hand her something more lucrative. She already has a county job anyway.

I'm adding a third voice to the sentiment. I wonder if Coleman has even figured out what the job is, yet...

I would vote for anyone over Coleman.

An absolutely non productive, absent, waste of time council person.

We in Ward F has been without representation since the day she was elected.

Truly pathetic that this woman is seeking another office.

Couldn't agree more. She's been completely useless and only "gets involved" when she has a photo-op with the Mayor...

JERSEY CITY — A councilwoman will face a Hudson County worker in the county register race next month that could open up a seat on the City Council.

Democrat Diane Coleman, 69, the Ward F councilwoman, is hoping to succeed the current register, Pamela Gardner. Her Republican opponent is Omar Salgado, 34, an aide in the county's department of family services.

The register, who has a five-year term, oversees the recording and filing of documents dealing with property. It pays $120,297 annually.
