I will be refinancing through a mortgage broker, not a bank, and was wondering if an attorney is really necessary. Although I am not dealing the with the bank that currently holds my mortgage, the re-fi paperwork seems straightforward and I have a good handle on the legalese used in contracts. Thoughts/advice?
