Unit does face street so hopefully noise won't be a major issue

I thought older buildings were much better from sound perspective but I'll definitely see if that's possible or else I'm s*** out of luck I suppose (really hope not though). Thanks for your feedback

I used to live in that area, too. It's very pleasant, and in a few years it will be really great. The street noise from JFK never bothered me, but I'm a very sound sleeper and kind of like city noise. As for the upstairs noise...those old buildings can be like torture chambers with the sound of upstairs neighbors moving around. I'd have sworn that mine were doing heavy manufacturing up there.

See if you can somehow arrange to be in the unit when someone upstairs is moving chairs, etc. It may seem crazy, but maybe even knock on the door upstairs and see if they'll stomp around for you. I've been asked for crazier things.

I used to live at 2600 JFK a few blocks down. We were on the 8th floor overlooking Duncan. Building was awesome, like the area. But traffic noise from JFK Blvd is loud. We now live a block down on a side street and its MUCH quieter.

Does this apt face the street at all? If it does, check out how loud traffic is inside the place.

Interested in purchasing a Condo in 2700 Kennedy Blvd. Wondering if any of you live in the building or around the area and can share your insights. My initial take is that building is an old structure, not super managed but just fine. Area is improving and does not have any major crime or major problems. Also would you know anyone who is renting a parking spot in that area. Thanks

Oh hell yeah, you need to be on that like white on rice.

Just don't mind the noise from the folks walking around above you.
