It isn't news-worthy.
The first line of the JJ article begins with "A new poll commissioned by Mayor Steve Fulop's campaign shows voters overwhelmingly approve of Fulop's job..." Talk about SELF-PROMOTION !

Quote:
Same reason this one is.... "Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ?3 percentage points." 1,500 out of 300 million That's how its done.

Internal poll: 68% approve of FulopBy JERSEY CITY — A new poll commissioned by Mayor Steve Fulop's campaign shows voters overwhelmingly approve of Fulop's job performance, believe the city is on the right track and would vote to re-elect him. The poll, conducted by Washington, D.C.-based firm The Mellman Group, provides insight into the mood of Jersey City voters halfway through Fulop's first term as mayor. It also gives Fulop a boost as he readies to join what is expected to be a crowded field seeking the Democratic nomination for governor in 2017. The 38-year old mayor gets a 68 percent job approval rating citywide, with 28 percent of respondents disapproving, according to poll results, highlights of which city officials provided to The Jersey Journal. The poll also shows high favorability ratings for Fulop: 79 percent of those surveyed rate him favorably or very favorably, compared to 13 percent who do not.
