Follow on Twitter on June 12, 2015 at 5:58 PM, updated June 12, 2015 at 6:22 PM The Hudson County Board of Freeholders has approved a $525 million budget that calls for $323.7 million to be raised by taxes, a 4.49 percent increase over the last year's $309.8 million levy. The county taxes make up one of three portions of a taxpayer's bill, with municipal and school taxes making up the rest. On Tuesday, the county measure was approved 6 to 3 with Freeholders Anthony Romano of Hoboken, Caridad Rodriguez of West New York and Bill O'Dea of Jersey City voting against the budget.
