If you'd like a similarly fun, scenic urban bike tour as a warmup, our friends in Newark are reviving the annual Cherry Blossom Bike Ride, about 6 mellow-paced miles through and around Branch Brook Park!
Meet Saturday, April 18, 2 p.m. at the Prudential Lions south of Park Avenue in the park. Free, kids welcome. Newpaper article Facebook event page for the ride

June 7! Save the date! Bike JC's 6th Annual Jersey City Ward Tour and Festival will be held Sunday, June 7, starting at Exchange Place and biking about 15 miles all around the city, with a post-ride festival back at Exchange Place. More details will follow in the coming weeks (in this forum, on Facebook's Bike JC page, and on Twitter @bikejc), including a link for online registration and opportunities to volunteer before/at the event.
