Isn't United water owned by Suez right now? How long usually before thy put a lien on a property? People miss bills sometimes, especially if they are not issued monthly. This applies especially to the elderly.

Yes, Fulop is keeping the money for his budget to pretend taxes went down. We will hear over and over how he cut spending, in reality, he protects wealthy investors with abatements while gouging the small homeowner with taxes in the form of water increases.

Hey Daniel, Maybe I'm missing something, but shouldn't you pose this question to the City?

The Jersey Journal published the names and addresses of people who are delinquent paying water and property taxes today (12/11/14). It is the reason Fulop should not keep excess water payments, it belongs to the people, some who are lien.

This is related to tax and water liens. The city will be advertising properties that are behind in water and tax liens. Developers basically buy liens. Then down the road they ask and receive tax abatements, heaven forbid they pay the same tax rate as the people who went into default.

I saw this message on the city website - "NOTE: From November 17th, 2014 through December 19th, 2014, ONLY certified checks, money orders or cash will be accepted for property tax payments."
Why?
