The Jersey City Police Department wants to make sure Mischief Night is, well, less mischievous. In anticipation of Mischief Night tonight and Halloween tomorrow, the department is adding four more police officers and a supervisor in each district of the city, Jersey City Public Safety Director James Shea said. Officers will be walking the streets and will also be in marked police cars in what are considered high-traffic areas, as a way of letting people know that they are present and will be on the look-out for anything out of the ordinary. "Jersey City has always added extra cops for Mischief Night and Halloween," Shea said, "but fortunately -- knock on wood -- we have not had any major issues in recent years." http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... lloween.html#incart_river
