The Ethical Community Charter School (TECCS), a free public charter elementary and middle school in Jersey City, has immediate openings in grade 6 and short waiting lists for grades 4 & 5 for this year.

As there is currently no waiting list for grade 6, applicants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants for other grades will be placed on this year's waiting list, in the order in which they are received. Students may move off the waiting list at any point during the year, as spaces at the school may open up (often due to family's moving) at any time.

* is open to all children, kindergarten through 6th grade (adding 7th and 8th grade in 2015 and 2016)
* requires only sending in or dropping off an application by January of the year before you want your child to come^
* offers full inclusion services for students with disabilities
* offers full services for any English language learners
* offers small class sizes of 20-22 students, with additional teacher assistants in lower grades
* offers small faculty-student advisory groups for 6th grade on up
