Believe it or not K-Mart down on rt 440 has propane camping lanterns. Just saw them.
That K-Mart used to have a whole aisle of Coleman camping stuff soup to nuts. But since the Sears deal they have not been stocking much. PS ? They just put out a few aisles of Christmas stuff plus their tree displays. Talk about rushing the season.

Tent & Trails is a mom and pop outdoors shop that's been at Park Pl forever. I bought a pair of Fabriano mountaineering boots there for a fraction of the price elsewhere.
Highly recommend.

didn't realize there was one there! Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. I might hit the REI off Rt 17 since I'll be heading that way later tonight anyway.

Is there an outdoors shop in the area where I could get a gas lantern, as well as stuff like compasses and other camping gear? I checked out Home Depot, Target, and Sears, but all they have are those dinky LED nightlights. It looks like the closest place would be one of the Sports Authorities by route 3
