Jersey City man arrested after tossing handgun: police By Jonathan Lin/The Jersey Journal on June 13, 2014 at 3:14 PM A 28-year-old Jersey City man was arrested on Tuesday after police noticed he was carrying a gun while he was getting out of his car, officials said. Shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, police officers conducting anti-crime surveillance in the area of Fowler Avenue and Highview Road in Jersey City saw a man later identified as James D. Morrison getting out of his car and carrying what appeared to be a weapon, Jersey City police spokesman Bob McHugh said today.
