JERSEY CITY RESIDENTS MAY HAVE DISCOLORED WATER Harrington Park, NJ, Jan 06, 2014, 4:30 pm Residents in Jersey City may be experiencing discolored water as the result of the operation of valves used to locate a leak on the 36-inch Belleville Pike water main. The leak is in vicinity of Duffield Avenue south of St. Paul?s Avenue. The discoloration is caused by high levels of naturally occurring minerals in the water and a buildup of harmless sediment in the water mains. However, customers may prefer to wait until the water runs clear before drinking or washing clothes or dishes. This is a temporary situation that should be alleviated once the system re-stabilizes. http://www.unitedwater.com/jerseycity/Newscenter.aspx?id=10263

In the past 45 mins, the water has been brown in my building. Is anyone else experiencing the same?
