It was at an intersection with a light. This probably wasn't a speed issue, but just people being overly aggressive. Quote:

Report: Motorcyclist injured after collision with truck Tuesday in JC. (Grand )
By The Jersey Journal on November 20, 2013 at 9:35 AM, updated November 20, 2013 at 9:48 AM A motorcyclist sustained injuries and was hospitalized late Tuesday night after a collision with a truck at a city intersection, Jersey Journal news photographer Joe Shine reports. Shortly before midnight, the motorcyclist, who was not identified, collided with the truck at the intersection of Grand and Monmouth streets outside Jersey City Medical Center.
