The alarm is located in a number of apartments and goes on intermittently. It is incredibly loud and I'm sure it is above a healthy decibel level. It goes off for reasons unknown and has gone off in the middle of the night in winter at times.

Complaints to management do nothing. It is 3 years (at least) that this is going on. Others have complained.

The fire department is powerless. They have to come over whenever it goes off. The only advice they can give me is to talk to the alarm company. Obviously , it must not be a simple fix since the alarm company has been here many times.

But it's 3+ years now and I'm guessing they don't want to spend the money to fix it.

My question, other than legal action, do I have any recourse at all? Is there an agency that would cover this sort of thing?
