I was told the same. Also, PSEG emailed me this little bit "Once that is complete, PSE&G can begin the process of restoring gas to the affected locations, but that will require PSE&G entering each home or business to turn on the gas service." If that's the case, this is sure to take awhile.

I know PSEG is still working on the problem, but does anyone has any reasonable estimate on when gas would be back?

I live on Montgomery bet/ Grove and Barrow, and have no gas right now. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem?

I did see 3 PSE&G trucks on the block an hour ago when I went out.

Thx.

PS Trying to call PSE&G right now to find out more.

Thanks. Seems this has flooded the gas lines downtown. Building manager told me the gas meters were filled with water in my building. This should be fun...

Discovered this morning that there was no gas in my house. Called PSEG and they sent someone over at 8am. Apparently, water (from a water main break, it seems) flooding the gas lines so they shut off the gas. He said it affected everyone between Marin and Grove, but that range could increase depending on the calls they get.

First they have to fix it, then safety check every apartment in the affected area before restoring gas.
