I really hope that part of the construction is space for a oven so they can serve proper turkish bread...

I love their food. They are one of the few unique restaurants in JC, which otherwise mostly has Italian, Indian, Chinese and Pizza places. I would like to see more restaurants like them open up in JC. Would love to have an Ethiopian dining option here.

they are actually expanding into that garage area next door also. Could be a pretty folksy and fun dining experience if they hit all their marks!

oh, thanks. It looks like they are creating some outdoor seating which would be nice.

I stopped in a week ago. As usual, very friendly staff and great food. I asked about the construction, because it actually makes the place look like it is closed. They explained that they are doing remodeling work, and (maybe) some remediation of some sort (this last part wasn't entirely clear) but they are doing the work in phases in order to be able to remain open. I am glad, because (as far as I know) they are the only Turkish option in town, and their food is very good, and reasonably priced.

Does anyone know what's going on/in at the corner where Rumi Turkish Grill is located? It looks like they are either changing the storefront or else splitting the place into two.
