Has anyone installed recessed lighting in an older home recently? Wondering what the cost per fixture would be and if you have any recommendations for who you used. Thanks!

I did, but I don't know if I'd do it again. Recessed lighting has quite a "butt" so it ends up lowering the ceiling slightly. and I rarely used it. When I sold the house, it didn't seem to add much value. That and it was hard to find dimmable CFL lights so the energy use was higher than other lights. It's one reno that I wish I could take back. My contractor was luke warm - so if you want his info - PM me. Depends on the work, but you shouldn't pay more than 1000 for it.
