Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to resume full weekday service for first time since Sandy By Ron Zeitlinger/The Jersey Journal on November 11, 2012 at 4:15 PM, updated November 11, 2012 at 4:16 PM The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, will resume complete, regular weekday service tomorrow for the first time since Hurricane Sandy hit on Oct. 29, NJ Transit said on its website. The light rail system, which runs from North Bergen to Bayonne in Hudson County, operated this weekend on its regular weekend schedule, with trains running every 20 minutes. The complete HBLR system was running Friday morning when the Bayonne Eighth Street station reopened, said Nancy Snyder, an NJ Transit spokeswoman, but it was operating on a limited basis. "We are very happy to have the system restored fully," Snyder said. "We had to replace switches, there was flooding and we had to make repairs, but the main issue was getting the power back to all the stations." NJ Transit is still offering free parking at the agency?s Liberty State Park light rail station?s park-and-ride, free shuttle bus service to/from the nearby ferry docks and free ferry service to/from Battery Park. NJ Transit is partnering with Statue Cruises to operate the service until further notice on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The free parking, busing and ferry service at HBLR?s Liberty State Park station?s park-and-ride is part of an emergency Trans-Hudson access plan. Meanwhile, full service has not yet returned to the PATH system. Currently the trans-Hudson rail line is running only from Journal Square in Jersey City to the 33rd Street station from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with no stops at Christopher Street and Ninth Street, according to the PATH website. How difficult is it for them to provide a temporary schedule on their website? So lame.

As of now no.... I live near Richard and Danforth Rails and they wont be up for a few more weeks. I have been driving downtown or riding my bike on nicer days and hopping on the path there.
