That's the way it is in this town... people complain complain and complain... but then don't act or participate... no one votes, no one goes to these meetings....
i hope people show up! Our block in The Heights - New York between Congress and South has never been safer - and it's because of the neighbors working together, and the great responsiveness of the Police in our district.

Lets see how many residents show up????? so far this has been shameful, I have attended two and the lack of residents makes one feel crime is not really a problem here. Even though when you get off certain lightrail stops or take a stroll down Wayne St. DTJC there are drugs pushed in your face even with children around.

Jersey City is hosting a town hall on public safety Monday night at School 28, the fourth in a series of meetings called to address complaints about city crime.
The first of the four meetings was held on March 1, after weeks of complaints from a group of residents that city officials were ignoring their belief that crime in Jersey City is on the rise. At previous meetings, Mayor Jerramiah Healy and Police Chief Tom Comey have said the city has implemented some series to address fears of crime, which include sending police detectives regularly to local community meetings and implementing an online police blotter so residents can track arrests. The meeting will begin Monday at 6 p.m. at School 28, 167 Hancock Ave., in The Heights.
