What the hell... How did they give that description and know the driver was wearing blue jeans and not give a description of the vehicle.

At 1:10 p.m., the Avenue A resident was crossing at the intersection of Kensington and West Side avenues when she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police said. Witnesses told police the driver appeared to be man in his 30s, 6 foot tall, with a medium build and wearing blue jeans, police said. Police did not know how witnesses were able to give such a detailed description of the driver before he left the scene of the accident. Police said they did not have a description of the vehicle or the direction in which it fled. The woman was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where she was treated for injuries, hospital spokesman Mark Rabson said.
