oh shoot... I just sent it in w/a check for the 3 year license. I have a current JC license and got it last January, but it was only good for a year, so figured I should get another one around now to stay current. I asked for the 3 year because the rabies vaccine I just got is good until January of 2015. I guess if anything they will give me a license that is good until 2014?

The calendar year runs from May 01 to April 30th for a dog license.

Question are you renewing or first time licensing?

If you are a first timer, how old is your dog and was it licensed anywhere else prior to you moving to Jersey City? If you are not licensed anywhere and the dog is over 7 months you will need to be in compliance with State laws. The license you obtain will only be good for 3 more months. In my opinion, It's best to spend the 8.00 or 12.00 vs getting a ticket for 60.00 or a Judge imposing a fine that can be up to 1000.00 with court costs.

For those who will be renewing, the applications will go out Mid March and will go up on the City website April 1st. You will have the option of doing a 1 year or 3 year license.

We will start the free Rabies shot clinics in April and will continue through June. Due to the success of last years clinics, we will be adding 3-4 more this year and will include all sections of the City. As soon as we have all the locations worked out with date and times...I will annoy the heck out of you by bumping up the thread weekly.

That form is correct. Ignore or change the date if you like but either way it's the right form.

Anyone have any information on getting a 2012 License? Found this form online but it says 2011:
