You can park anywhere in the city on the weekend that is a legal public parking space. Just look at the signs for handicap parking, bus stops, and parking meters. Sunday the meters are NOT in effect.

Don't leave anything valuable in your car especially if you have out of state plates. Hide any indication that you have a GPS unit as thieves will break in on the oft chance there is one hidden in your car. Check on your car once in awhile even if you're not using it.

You can park North of Washington Blvd and Newport Pkwy (Staples area heading towards Hoboken) after 6pm and stay there till Monday Morning make sure you read the signs.

Hi, we are driving down to the Newport area on friday and will be staying at a friend's until sunday. Almost certainly will not be using the car during this time. Is there legal street parking available during the weekend? What's the best location near the Newport area for parking? Thank you.
