The point was that Brunswick street is as far off the beaten track as you can get in Downtown JC, far from the Path, Light Rail and most bus routes (except for Newark). And it still has some awesome food places. And they have survived and thrived despite their location. West of Brunswick? Sure there are some great places in the heights and beyond. Why don't you post them, instead of sniping on this post?

No surprise here those in the know, know where to go. It has always been that way in J.C. you should have seen the joints years ago in DT the Tripoli was the place for good Italian cheese cake and that was on Newark and 4th if I remember. What locations do you consider not hidden in Downtown J.C. ?

These places are as far west of Downtown JC that you can get. But it has always amazed me that these businesses have survived and thrived. And I think that has got to be down to the quality of what they offer. (I've included some places just off Brunswick). They are mostly Italian with a little French thrown in. These places all have rave reviews - google them. (A shameless plug for local small businesses. Sorry if I missed any.)
