View Larger Map Jersey City Power Outage Published : Saturday, 21 May 2011, 8:43 AM EDT MYFOXNY.COM STAFF REPORT MYFOXNY.COM - A transformer fire was reportedly causing a rash of power outages in Jersey City, N.J. on Saturday morning. It apparently happened in the area of 55 River Drive South. Three large high rises were reportedly without power after the incident. The Jersey City Fire Department was checking elevators to make sure people were not trapped. PSE&G reported 2001-5000 customers were affected. No other details were available.
