There was a sexual assault of an eleven-year-old girl in Bayonne last week - and the suspect had a green jacket (I know, I know, a lot of people have green jackets). This attack was pretty brazen - 8am - while the child walked to her school. The description is awful, so I suppose it's hard to make a connection:
From NJ.com: An 11-year-old Bayonne girl was accosted on a city street yesterday morning while she was walking to school, authorities said this morning. The girl told police that she was walking along when a man came up from behind and squeezed her buttocks, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said this morning. It is believed that the incident occurred on Fourth Street near Broadway, at about 8 a.m. The girl told cops that she told the man "Don't touch me!" and the man fled, reports said. The man was described as wearing a green jacket. Bayonne police said that officers assigned to provide information on crimes to the media were either off or not available. Calls to the police chief and deputy police chief were not immediately returned. A call to the mayor's office also was not immediately returned.

Jersey City woman, 34, is dragged into alley, suffers long rape attack, and is beaten and robbed just after midnight, and then assailant rides away on his bicycle
Friday, March 25, 2011 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER A 34-year-old Jersey City woman was put in a choke hold, dragged into an alleyway, and savagely sexually assaulted early yesterday, according to authorities who are seeking the public's help to capture the victim's bike-riding attacker. "The facts depict the actor as a very disturbed individual," Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said yesterday of the physical and sexual assault that occurred just after midnight Wednesday near Harrison and Bergen avenues. "Obviously we have to remove this actor from the streets." The victim was walking home when she was approached by a man riding a bicycle who demanded money, DeFazio said, adding that she told him she had none. The man put the victim in a choke hold and forced her into an alley where he partially disrobed her and sexually assaulted her, the prosecutor said. The assault "went on for some time" and the woman screamed, but her attacker had her in a choke hold and threatened to kill her, DeFazio said, adding the man also beat the victim, causing injuries unrelated to the sexual assault. The man then robbed the victim and fled on his bicycle, DeFazio said. The woman called police and was taken to Christ Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and released, DeFazio said. The woman described her attacker as a black man, about 30 years old, and standing 5-foot-7, officials said. The man was wearing black jeans, a forest green hooded jacket with an orange sweatshirt beneath it, and white, black and gray sneakers, DeFazio said. He had large silver and gray headphones around his neck and was wearing a do-rag on his head, DeFazio said, adding that he rode a silver, BMX-style bike. The man could face up to 40 years in prison if convicted of aggravated sexual assault and robbery. "We are working diligently to apprehend this dangerous individual," Jersey City Police Chief Tom Comey said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Special Victims Unit at (201) 915-1234 or the police tip line at (201) 547 - JAIL.
