You can't make this up:
"Today's Jersey Journal reports that yesterday's three-alarm blaze that gutted two homes on North Street appears to have been sparked by a woman who used a cigarette lighter to burn her initials into a jacket, officials said. The fire started at 12:26 p.m. at 116 North Street and quickly spread to a neighboring house. officials said. 12 People were left homeless. Two firefighters were also taken to Jersey City Medical Center for minor injuries."

Heavy smoke coming from 3-alarm fire in Jersey City Heights
A three-alarm fire is raging on North Street in the Heights section of Jersey City. According to freelance news photographer Joe Shine, the smoky blaze is in two two-family homes on the block between Central and Summit avenues.
