As a proud union member (IBEW Local 1212 Broadcasters) I very much despise your tying illegal mob or begging activities to unions.
While I'll admit that some unions are or have been in bed with illegal mobs, most union members are not, and unions have done more to elevate the level of the middle class than any other organization.

Like a overly-defensive cheating wife blurting in an emotional tantrum, "I was just out with friends, okay?!" in response to the accusation that nobody made.

When people make vague negative semantics references that may relate on a purely lingual level to my profession, my immediate response is not to shout out how little criminal activity I've been involved in. You, however, felt the need to angrily defend yourself, complete with table-pounding. Is there something you would like to get off your chest?

Unless you are a beggar, in the beggar union, or a corrupt Jersey City authority figure, then you've pointlessly worked yourself into a rage over nothing.

Got some change? Spare a bit for a man down on his luck?

A familiar face outside Dunkin' Doughnuts? Sure, why not give him a buck!

He'll get to keep a dime.

Thanks for your 75-cent donation to organized crime!

And last but certainly not least, the other fifteen...

Why, it goes to the Jersey City police, who promise to never be seen!

They are not homeless. They are not needy. They don't even keep what you give them.

It is an organized union working you -- it funds criminal activity that later targets you.

Stop giving your change to the Grove Street beggars union.
