View Larger Map Man and woman rip "good luck money" from wall of Jersey City Heights restaurant Friday, January 14, 2011 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER "Good luck money" tucked into a picture frame inside a Jersey City Heights restaurant was stolen by a man and a woman Wednesday night and the woman became violent when the manager attempted to lock her inside the eatery, reports said. At 9:49 p.m. the robbers entered Los Tres Chilitos on Central Avenue and placed a to-go order, but while the food was being prepared they snatched the $200 mounted on a wall that had been given to the owner for luck when he opened the business, reports said. The 36-year-old victim realized what happened and was able to lock the door after the man fled, but the woman "became violent, kicking and pushing the victim" and she managed to get away, reports said. The pair fled east on Congress Street, reports said. The male robber was described as 5-foot-6 with a thin build and wearing a black turtleneck, brown hooded sweatshirt, red hat and blue jeans, reports said. The woman was described as 5-foot-8 with a stocky build and wearing a green puffy jacket and black hat and black pants. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Jersey City police tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
