A 15-year-old Montgomery Street boy, 16-year-old Bidwell Avenue boy, 16-year-old Montgomery Street boy, and 17-year-old Myrtle Avenue boy were arrested after the 7:05 p.m. incident at Bidwell Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive, reports said. During the assault, one of the attackers blurted, "We are from Myrtle and we are a Blood gang," reports said. The 30-year-old Guttenberg victim said he was walking into a fried chicken restaurant when a boy hit him over the head with a fluorescent light bulb and others in the pack began kicking and punching him after he went down, reports said. His friend, a 24-year-old Bayview Avenue man, jumped out of a car to assist, but he was struck in the face, reports said. As the two men were being beaten, one of the boys jumped into their vehicle and drove away, reports said. Police scoured the area and detained the four boys who were then identified by the victims, reports said, adding that both men suffered injuries to their faces but refused medical attention. Based on reports, it does not appear the vehicle was recovered.
