Jersey City woman with physically attacking her ex-boyfriend in his apartment

HOBOKEN - A 28-year-old Jersey City woman has been charged with punching her ex-boyfriend in the forehead and biting him on the chest, Hoboken police said.

On Saturday around 5 a.m., police met with the victim, a 33-year-old Hoboken man, who said his ex-girlfriend, who has keys to his Monroe Street apartment, showed up unexpectedly, reports said. The ex-girlfriend yelled at the man, who was with another woman, police said.

The ex-girlfriend punched him and bit him on the left side of his chest when he tried to restrain her, the man told police.

She left in a cab but returned to collect her keys and phone, which she left in the apartment, reports said. Upon her return, she was placed under arrest on a simple assault charge.

Police noticed the victim had a small bruise and cut on his forehead, but he declined medical attention, police said.
