I drove by the 4 houses this weekend and to say the area is rough is putting it very mildly. I actually like two of the buildings but as much as I want to can't convince myself it would be worth the risks.

Jersey City Will Auction Off Handfuls of Vacant Lots & Buildings Next Month

34 properties were to be sold only at the minimum bid

As usual, the cut-rate auction prices are accompanied by the buyer?s agreement to ?repair, alter and improve? the vacant buildings and similarly clean up the vacant lots.

The auction is scheduled for Thursday, November 4 at 10 at City Hall.
