View Larger Map Man, 22, robbed, shot in buttocks Tuesday, June 01, 2010 A 22-year-old Jersey City man was shot in the buttocks and robbed of cash and jewelry early Sunday, according to police reports. The victim told police he was standing with friends in the area of Chapel and Rutgers avenues at about 2:30 a.m. when at least two men came up behind him with a gun pointed at him saying "Give it up," reports said. At that point his friends ran off and the men robbed him of his necklace, watch, earrings, and approximately $40 in cash, reports said. But before they left, the victim heard a gunshot and immediately felt pain in his buttocks area, reports said. The victim ran, but collapsed. EMTs responding to the scene took him by ambulance to the Jersey City Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, reports said. KEN THORBOURNE
