Now up on Jersey Journal

3-alarm fire at Starlite Motel on Tonnelle Avenue in Jersey City
By The Jersey Journal
April 09, 2010, 2:14PM

A three-alarm fire is burning at the Starlite Motel on Tonnelle Avenue in Jersey City, Fire Director Armando Roman said.

Northbound traffic on the heavily traveled portion of the road, which is also Routes 1&9, is open, but southbound traffic near the motel is blocked off, freelance news photographer Joe Shine said.

The one-story motel complex is just south of the Jersey City-North Bergen border.

A Jersey Journal reporter is headed to the scene.
