Thanks...Hopefully it does not happen again. If so, I'll definitely take a picture and follow the steps you listed.

Sorry about your car. We just chased 3 kids from our block. We lost them but they already tagged a house. The tags are usually from kids unless its Alot and Loser who are older. They are members of the crew, AIDS, as many taggers in the area. Originally, tagging/graffiti was a position a kid took to avoid the other positions in the area, such as drug runner/dealer. Today, it has become a trend among the kids.

I am not sure if a formal report will help. But if you can take a photo and send it to JCIA via email to Pat Farulla's attention or Crystal Fonseca's attention. Let them know if additional tags with this signature is seen, to let you know. You can also send the photo to downtownjcwatch@gmail.com. Pat Farulla and the Downtown JC watch have gone to court in the past. SInce then, we have started to collect photos.

At your captain's meeting, pass the photo around as well.

good luck

If you are interested, here's the info for Block Watch: http://www.njjcpd.org/. Click on Community Relations (across top), then JCPD Block Watch (along left).

I implore everyone to contact them and get involved!

I promised to post the West District's Captain's meeting info and keep forgetting...It is the third Wednesday of the month (February 17th, March 17th and so on) --MARK YOUR CALNDARS. I will post location prior to the date.

I saw another car tagged on block this Monday night..I think they do it on Sunday nights on Park Street if you park in front of 20 Park Street (renovated building).

I hope the owner reported it!

JCPD are absolutely useless! I call the precinct and they tell me to call another number to file a report via phone.

How will know who is doing it if they don't take pictures and detail what it says? I could not decipher the crap that was written (animals can write, but not in english apparently) and told them that, so its not like my description is really helpful.

Seriously, JC? Wait until the next Captain's meeting! Anyone on here go to the west district's?

Not sure how it work's but the tag's are documented. I think it is the "Gang Force". Photo and ask the PD where to send. I know my neighbor has taken photos and had the tag's removed.

I never thought it would occur but it finally happened graffiti on cars. First the trains in Nyc, then 18 wheelers, now parked cars. I figured the cars would be left alone because if they marked the wrong one it could cost them an arm and a leg, and a knee cap...if they're that lucky.

I live in Bergen Lafayette. I walk pass my car yesterday morning on the way to work and noticed some punk tagged my car in black magic marker!
Are you f-ing kidding me?

I am going to the PD tonight to file a report--any other suggestions on things I can do? Is this a new trend? Oh and any recommendations on how to remove?

Seriously, they need to put these thugs on a boat and leave them in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean...ugh...
