Thug stabs Jersey City resident taking out trash in early morning
Thursday, February 11, 2010 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER A Jersey City man was stabbed while taking out the trash from his Greenville home early yesterday morning, not far from where two men were shot dead last week, police said. The 34-year-old Woodlawn Avenue man told police he was taking the garbage out at 1:20 a.m. when a man approached him saying "Who you looking at, (expletive)?" reports said. The man took a swing at him, punching him in the left upper arm before running away, reports said. It was only then that the victim felt a sharp pain in the area of his right triceps and saw blood running from a wound there, reports said. The victim went to the Jersey City Medical Center, where doctors said he had a 1-inch puncture wound, reports said. Police went to the Medical Center and spoke to the victim, who was listed in stable condition, reports said. On Feb. 2, Mileak Richardson and Lester Thompson were found shot dead on Woodlawn Avenue about a block from yesterday morning's stabbing incident.
