In case you are curious, I found out that Petco does the FIV/FeLV testing for 35 and the 4 in 1 shot for 19. I'm going to take her this weekend.

They also offer other shots/testing for cats and dogs as well.

The average cost for a vet to do a FIV/Felv snap test is $55. Be careful though. Depending on the age of the kitten, it could throw a false positive based on antibodies from the mother cat.

You can try Downtown Vet on First Street just west of Newark. I don't know how much they charge but I provided a link to show how the test is done and how long it takes to get results.

I found a 8 - 12 week old black and white female kitten today in my yard near van vorst part. She is superfriendly which makes me think someone might be missing her. Here's a headshot:

On another note, does anyone know an affordable place near public transportation where I can get her tested for FIV, Felv? She is currently stuck in my bathroom and I can't let her out until I know that she won't get my cat sick. I'd like to find a good home for her, but want to try and avoid paying 100+ dollars in vet fees.
