New schedules for several New Jersey Transit buses are in effect today.
In Hudson County, four bus routes will be affected - the No. 2 Secaucus to Jersey City; No. 82 Hudson, No. 86 Union City to Jersey City; and No. 129 Harmon Cove to New York and Secaucus to New York.
The 82 line is being rerouted in Jersey City at Exchange Place to serve the bus stop located eastbound on Christopher Columbus Drive, near the side at Hudson Street, according to New Jersey Transit's Web site. The line will not serve any of the bus stops on Montgomery Street between Hudson Street and Greene Street.
The 86 line is also being rerouted in Jersey City at Exchange Place.
There are only minor changes for the 2 line on trips that operate via the N.J. International and Bulk Mail Center on County Road, said a spokeswoman for New Jersey Transit.
There are no changes in service for the No. 129 - the new schedule is just a more accurate representation of times when the bus already operates, said the spokeswoman.
